Job Description – Fabricator
• Measure work piece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operations.
• Working knowledge or ability to learn CNC machines, hand and extrusion welders.
• Read work orders and perform work as assigned by Department Supervisor.
• Safely operate power tools, auto-saw, forklift, and measuring devices.
• Read and interpret blueprints, observing specifications, layouts, and materials required..
• Understand tool specifications and operational capabilities.
• Working knowledge of basic manufacturing OSHA standards including Safety and Health Training, Personal Protective Equipment, Lock-out Tag-out, and SDS.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Must be able to:
• Safely operate automated machines.
• Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
• Stand for extended periods of time.
• Climbing- ascending or descending ladders, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl at times to maneuver on project.
• Work in moderate to high noise level exposure with hearing protection
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.

Responsible for:
Repairs and warranty management of products
Dispatch for repair calls
Incoming call management
Various customer service functions

This position involves specialized
work in the design and production of water tanks and truck bodies for the fire
service industry. Our engineers work with OEM’s and end users to develop
customized products to fit the needs of various emergency response vehicles.
Job Responsibilities;
Build 3D models of products using Solid Works software
Create proposal drawings and work with customers to achieve an approved design
Design internal structure of products; ensure designs are within Pro Poly specifications and also meet NFPA standards
Convert 3D model design into 2D parts layout
Generate cut sheets for CNC router using Master CAM software (or similar)
Create detailed schematic drawings for production floor
Troubleshoot problems in production and assist as needed to find solutions
Preferred Skills:
Two or four year degree in any of the following areas or equivalent experience preferred;
Design Engineering
Industrial Engineering/Technology
CAD or 3D Modeling (Preferably Solidworks)
Mechanical Engineering/Technology
Manufacturing Engineering
Must be knowledgeable with design
engineering software; Solid Works, AutoCAD/Draft Sight, Master CAM
