A Note from our President, Tim Dean

On behalf of the men and women working at Pro Poly/PolyBilt, we want to say thank you for the thoughts, prayers and general well wishes during Hurricane Irma.  Thankfully, we had mostly minimal damage to our facilities and homes. We had no injuries and are back up and running smoothly. We are appreciative of the thousands of infrastructure workers who came to Florida to help in the relief from cable and electric workers to road and bridge repair teams and also landscape workers. Our thoughts and prayers now shift to the Caribbean and the damages inflicted to them from Maria.

As we move into the Fall, cooler weather and the excitement of the college and pro football season as well as October baseball, we are excited to continue to see strong sales for tanks and bodies. We are also excited to support the industry by attending the Firehouse Expo show in Nashville on October 18th, the FAMA Fall Meeting in Glendale, AZ and the many dealer meetings of our OEM customers to which we are privileged to support. Come visit us at Booth #1031 in Nashville or any of these other events and discuss any of your thermoplastic needs.

Also, when you see us at an industry trade event, we would enjoy speaking to you about our new longevity reports about PolyBilt bodies.

We have worked with several of our partners around the world to identify our PolyBilt bodies that have been in service for extended periods of time and provided longstanding useful service in all kinds of different weather and climate conditions. We will be reporting on these findings in the next few months.
One body we are especially proud of is the tow body used by our friend in Wisconsin, Jamon Ingels and his family’s tow business. Jamon is a firefighter in Wisconsin and also helps his family with their heavy duty tow truck work.

After 330,000 miles and transfer to another chassis, the PolyBilt body is still in use, helping the family business negotiate heavy truck towing work in the very demanding and extreme conditions of the Wisconsin highway systems from the hot days of summer to the cold days of winter and everything in between. We are excited to report on Jamon’s experience with a PolyBilt truck body, and we look forward to continuing the conversation in months to come.
