Our Vice President and Director of Operations, Daniel Owen and his son, Riley, won the 26th Annual Summer Games in Ocala, FL in a triple playoff.
The Summer Games have a twist, it’s not just a normal tournament. The Summer Games tournament switches formats every nine holes and golfers must ride the wave of momentum through each new format. On Saturday, golfers played both a modified chapman and individual stroke play formats. Sunday’s lineup was four-ball stroke play, followed by alternate shot.
“We had a bit of a struggle through the first nine today, but we knew that the alternate shot format could get away from us if we weren’t careful, so we just had to stay focused,” Riley Owen said.
On the 11th hole, Riley sunk a 15-foot putt. A putt which, Daniel said, kept them going with some strong momentum.
